2025: The Year HELLBØUND Accidentally Set Everything on Fire (Again and Again)
If someone asked us what 2025 was like, the honest answer would be: “Loud, fast, exhausting… can we do it again?”
This year was absolutely packed. We played shows like there was no tomorrow, recorded our debut album H.E.A.T (spoiler: recording is NOT romantic, it’s hard work, cold coffee and arguing about snare sounds), and somehow survived it all. We pressed our first CD batch, launched audio cassettes as a ‘why not?’ experiment – and then re-ordered them three more times, because apparently jumbishmetal + tapes = unexpected success.
We hit the road with our first headline tour, jumped between local festivals, and then came the real battles. Winning Metal Battle Bulgaria was not a gentle handshake – it was a fight. Sweaty, loud, and totally worth it.
Hills of Rock? A long-time dream unlocked. Sharing the same festival with Machine Head and Gojira felt unreal – and yes, we showed up ready.
Then came Wacken Open Air. The Mecca of heavy music. Also: the longest road trip from the south to the north of Europe, the team-building event of the decade, and the birthplace of several internal memes that will never make sense to outsiders (don’t ask why we suddenly laugh after eye contact).
And somehow, in the middle of all that madness – 3rd place at Wacken Metal Battle, out of thousands of bands worldwide. Backstage note from the editor: during our set, the entire Headbangers Stage crew were standing there with giant smiles, repeating “unbelievable.” Same, guys. Same.
Add to that: interviews, TV, radio – lots of radio. “Burning in the Flame” hit #1 in the ZRock’s rock/metal TOP 30, which still feels slightly illegal. More festivals (because of course), a short break, a mini tour, tons of new faces in the pit – and an unexpected Bucharest show built in literally one week, with a reception that made us immediately plan our return.
Meanwhile: recording, recording, recording – because new music is already on the way. And yes, spring 2026 international tour dates are locked in.
That was a crazy ride. We are tired. We are happy. And we want more.
Massive thanks to our team, families, and friends who carried us through this year - you rock hard. Without you, HELLBØUND would not be this HELLBØUND.
See you in 2026. There will be H.E.A.T. And not only that. 🔥🤘
